first blank is filled with any letter in means me can fill it in 26 ways
other 3 blanks with digits means we can use from 0 to 9
means in 10 ways repetetion allowed so 10*10*10
total=26*10*10*10

explaination is clear but ...but in da numerator..20 is added..y it is added..can any 1 xplain it ?

hello frnds...xplaination for da 1st Q....given x=-x ,y=5 and da result must b negtive..assume x=-2 thn x*y^2 is..-2*(-5)^2
= -2*25
=-50
